B.O.S. is in need of free or discounted housing for visiting artists. Any hotels or homeowners willing to house a few dancers for a few nights can make their participation possible. We also need photographers and videographers to assist with documenting the event, assistance with ushering at the shows and free or discounted printing. Ushers are always needed too! Please email Abby at shakes9999@yahoo.com if you can help.
INFO FOR ARTISTS
To locate other B.O.S. participants for rideshares, or to find participants for your work etc, go to facebook, and join the group Built on Stilts Dance Festival.
VISITING ARTISTS:
Unfortunately, Built on Stilts does not provide housing. Accommodations are up to you and must be arranged well in advance. Please do not register for the festival until you know you have a place to stay. There is a youth hostel and a campground but they fill up fast. If you are driving to the island, be aware that the week of the festival is one of the busiest of the season and parking is tough. Car reservations for the ferry must be made months in advance.
Rehearsal space on the island is difficult to come by. The island's many public parks can be great for rehearsing. Just be sure to bring water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a boombox with batteries and always respect your neighbors and clean up after yourselves!
